Vladimir Provorov

Vladimir was born on May 4, 1978, in the city of Novokujbyshevsk in the Samara oblast. In the mid-90’s he began to attend the Evangelical Lutheran Church of St. George in Samara. His first experience of service in the church were Sunday School lessons and visitation of the sick and elderly members of the congregation.

He is one of the first graduates of the ELCROS Theological Seminary. After finishing his 3rd year of seminary in the summer of 2000, he began his internship in his home congregation in Samara. After half a year, he continued his service in St. Mary’s Lutheran in Ul’yanovsk. In October of 2001 was ordained and installed as pastor at St. Mary’s.
