Julia Wolf

My name is Julia Wolf. I was born on the 4th of July, 1980, in the city of Tambov, Russia. When I was about four years old, my family moved to Riga, Latvia. In Riga I was a member of the German Lutheran congregation in the Church of Christ. There I led Sunday School for children.

Immediately after finishing high school, in 1998 I entered the ELCROS Theological Seminary in Novosaratovka. In 2002 after finishing my internship at St. George Lutheran in the city of Samara, I finished my education at the Seminary with a degree in theology. My favorite subjects were spiritual care and religious studies.

At present I am studying in a master’s degree program at Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, Ohio. As before, my favorite subjects are spiritual care and religious studies, but I also became interested in the theme “the role of women in the church and society.” My studies and my interests are tied together. I like to study various religious, travel and become acquainted with the cultures of various peoples.
